How important is it to consider the "flying star" for house hunting? Is it the same for buying than for renting?

I used to think that I had a problem big enough looking for a place to leave due to my family kua numbers...
My husband is a West #8 and me and my daughter are both East #3. So what is a good direction for us is a bad one for him. I thought it would be enough to get advice on which direction should our home face to, but now I found out about the flying star (which I completely ignored before) and it's more complicated than that.

It seems like every year the direction of the door entrance should be different, who can live up to this? Does every house gotta have two or more entrances? I am really confused, but then also very interested because I do want to use the best feng shui for our house hunting. I would highly appreciate every comment and advice, thank you so much in advance. :(

Hi Tabatta,

Don't worry over the front door direction. When looking for a new living space you need to examine outside landscape first. Make sure you have no water located in the North and SE for Period 9 will help a lot.

Feng shui is about the flow of Qi. It rides on air and rests in water. You also don't want to have any 'open' areas in the N, E, SE, and SW during Period 9.

The Flying Star part of feng shui is another aspect of feng shui but you shouldn't worry about it in picking a house that is 'safe' for you and your family.

Cheers, LittleWolf
