Do we strictly use the front door direction as the guide?

Or, it depends, as in finding the facing direction under Flying Stars?

I think using the front door with your face looking out, to your left and right is respectively considered as the dragon & tiger side of a house is still prevailing.

hi Fengshui,

Is there a dragon & a tiger star in the FS?
In FS, u hv the mountain (seat) and water (face) star to commence from the central of the 9-sq chart.
Some master takes just the front door while some take the side where the brigthest light shine into the house (e.g. a big window) & others take the nearby sea/hill into consideration.
