Fishes in children room

My children keeps fishes in their rooms. It's a very small tank with a couple of fish. I read it's bad to keep pets in room. How will it affect my kids?

It's bad to have fish tank or water related paintings in the room. Water in the form of an aquarium or a fish tank is not good to be placed in a bedroom. This is because fishes swimming in the fish tank generate yang Qi. The bedroom is a place of rest (yin) it is not ideal to have a fish tank in the room. Symbolic paintings such as a scenery of sea waves, or water `hitting' against coastal rocks are best left out in the bedroom.
