Broken figurine

We had a beautiful jade figurine as a gift. But when we were opening it, we realised a small part was broken.

Would using super glue to mend it back still be as effective when it's new?

Hi, usually seldom people display broken figurine. Not because it's bad omen, but because the crack might be obvious which isn't pretty looking.
